Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Commander Rear Adm. Kate Gregory announced the fiscal year (FY) 2014 Golden Anchor Award winners in a commandwide message, April 10.

NAVFAC commands at Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center, Far East, Hawaii, Mid-Atlantic, Northwest, Southeast, Washington, and the NAVFAC Support Unit at the State Department met or exceeded their retention benchmarks for FY14, and consequently were named Golden Anchor winners.

"The dedication and commitment that each of these commands demonstrated to the career development and the personal and professional needs of our Sailors have been nothing short of exemplary," said Gregory. "Every member of these commands should be justifiably proud of these achievements. Thank you for the hard work that you are doing every day in support of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and our Navy."

The winners may immediately paint their anchors gold and fly the Golden Anchor pennant until the FY15 winners are announced.
