Sexual Assault Reports: Week of April 13-19

This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults was compiled based on 15 initial reports across the Navy from April 13-19.
This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults was compiled based on 15 initial reports across the Navy from April 13-19. This timeframe reflects only the receipt of the initial reports; four occurred inside the report period, nine occurred outside the report period and two occurred during an unknown report period. Each report will be fully investigated. Looking at this snapshot in time, we see the following: * Six reports were from events that occurred on-base and nine were from events that occurred off-base. * Among the 18 alleged offenders, one was a midshipman, one was a petty officer, eight were E3 and below, three were civilian and five were unknown. * Seventeen of the alleged offenders were male and one was unknown. * Ten of the reported incidents were alleged to be service member on service member, one was non-service member on service member, two were service member on non-service member, and two were unknown. * Among the 15 alleged victims, one was an officer, one was a midshipman, four were petty officers, six were E3 and below, two were civilians and one was unknown.
