A response team comprised of members from Navy Region Southeast, Navy Installations Command, Navy Recruiting Command and Navy Reserve Forces arrived earlier today in Chattanooga to provide support for personnel located in the area as a result of yesterday's tragic attack.

Support services include Navy chaplains, casualty assistance crisis officers (CACO), and Fleet and Family Support Center personnel, as well as additional administrative and logistics personnel.

Force protection measures have not changed, and we remain at a heightened state of security and vigilance. Navy Recruiting Station (NRS) Chattanooga and the Navy Operations Support Center in Chattanooga are closed while they are part of the investigation. NRS Chattanooga is one of more than 30 recruiting stations in the Navy Recruiting District Nashville area.

Two additional recruiting stations in the local area are also closed today.
