Sexual Assault Reports: Week of March 9-15

This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults was compiled based on 22 initial reports across the Navy from March 9-15.
This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults was compiled based on 22 initial reports across the Navy from March 9-15. This timeframe reflects only the receipt of the initial reports; four occurred inside the report period, 15 occurred outside the report period and three were unknown. Each report will be fully investigated. Looking at this snapshot in time, we see the following: * Eleven reports were from events that occurred on-base, eight were from events that occurred off-base and three were unknown. * Among the 22 alleged offenders, two were chief petty officers, five were petty officers, three were E3 and below, two were civilians and 10 were unknown. * Sixteen of the alleged offenders were male and six were unknown. * Sixteen of the reported incidents were alleged to be service member on service member, four non-service member on service member, one service member on non-service member and one was unknown. * Among the 22 alleged victims, eight were petty officers, 12 were E3 and below, one was a civilian and one was unknown.
