Copley came to ONI via the National Security Agency where he served as deputy director of operations for combat support.

“It is absolutely an honor to serve at ONI again,” he said. In an email to the ONI workforce, he said he was thankful to return and serve alongside the “extraordinary men and women within the NMIC and with our folks across the extended Enterprise. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new talented professionals.”

Copley said his leadership philosophy can be summed up in six words: “Team of Warriors Built on Trust” and that, “Together we will relentlessly pursue our adversaries and deliver a decision advantage to the Fleet, Navy leadership, and our nation’s decision makers.”

“We have a lot of work to do and I am honored to be part of a team that can do it,” he said.
