The Department of Defense issued a memorandum for all service members detailing guidance on communication with presidential campaigns June 29.

The memorandum outlines the responsibilities and expectations of DoD personnel in support of Presidential transitions, both before and after the election, and encourages all service members to review DoD Directive 1344.10 and the rules that govern their political activities.
