Sexual Assault Reports: Week of May 18-24

This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults was compiled based on 16 initial reports across the Navy from May 18-24.
This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults was compiled based on 16 initial reports across the Navy from May 18-24. This timeframe reflects only the receipt of the initial reports; three occurred inside the report period, 11 occurred outside the report period and two were unknown. Each report will be fully investigated. Looking at this snapshot in time, we see the following:

* Seven reports were from events that occurred on-base, five were from events that occurred off-base and four occurred at unknown locations.

* Among the 16 alleged offenders, one was a chief petty officer, four were petty officers, four were E3 and below, three were civilians, and four were unknown.

* Fourteen of the alleged offenders were male, one was a female and one was unknown.

* Six of the reported incidents were alleged to be service member on service member, three were non-service member on service member, four were service member on non-service member, and three were unknown.

* Among the 18 alleged victims, six were petty officers, eight were E3 and below, and four were civilians. Fourteen of the alleged victims were female and four were male.
