This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults is compiled based on 10 initial reports across the Navy from August 10-16.
This week's overview of alleged sexual assaults is compiled based on 10 initial reports across the Navy from August 10-16. This timeframe reflects only the receipt of the initial reports; one of the reported incidents occurred during this period, eight occurred outside of the report period and one occurred at an unknown time. Each report will be fully investigated. Looking at this snapshot in time, we see the following:

* Five reports are from events that occurred on-base and five are from events that occurred off-base.

* Of the 10 alleged offenders, two were petty officers, three were E-3 and below, four were civilians and one was unknown.

* Eight of the alleged offenders were male and two were female.

* Five of the reported incidents were alleged to be service member on service member, four were non-service member on service member and one was service member on non-service member.

* Among the 10 alleged victims, four were petty officers, five were E-3 and below and one was unknown. Seven of the alleged victims were female and three were male.
