The activity included a Royal Australian Air Force P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft, Royal Canadian Navy vessel HMCS Montr�al with its embarked helicopter, Philippine Navy vessels BRP Jose Rizal and BRP Ramon Alcarez with embarked helicopters and United States Navy vessel USS Lake Erie with its embarked helicopter. The Maritime Cooperative Activity demonstrates a shared commitment to transparently promote and strengthen regional and international cooperation in support of an open and inclusive Indo-Pacific and upholding the right to freedom of navigation and overflight in accordance with international law, particularly the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
