PACIFIC OCEAN (Sept. 15, 2023) U.S. Marines with Amphibious Reconnaissance Platoon, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, straighten a rappelling rope to prevent tangling during a fast-rope exercise aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) in the Pacific Ocean, Sept. 15, 2023. The training refined Marines fast roping skills and prepared them for quick insertion into austere environments.
