CARIBBEAN SEA (Sept. 8, 2023) The Colombian navy exclusive economic zone patrol ship ARC Victoria (PZE-48) and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force training squadron ships JS Kashima (TV-3508) and JS Hatakaze (TV-3520) conduct a tri-lateral passing exercise with the Freedom-variant littoral combat ship USS Detroit (LCS 7), not pictured, in the Caribbean Sea, Sept. 8, 2023. The passing exercise enhanced communication and interoperability between forces and improved operational readiness. Detroit is deployed to the U.S. 4th Fleet area of operations assigned to support Commander, Task Force 45’s mission.
