Ronald Reagan, the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the United States, and supports alliances, partnerships and collective maritime interests in the Indo-Pacific region. JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM (July 3, 2023) The Virginia-class fast-attack submarine USS Illinois (SSN 786) returns to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam following a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
