PHILIPPINE SEA (June 15, 2024) An EA-18G Growler, attached to the Shadowhawks of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 141, launches from the flight deck of the U.S. Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), during flight operations in support of Valiant Shield 2024, in the Philippine Sea, June 15. The primary role of EA-18G Growlers is to disrupt the ability to communicate between units in combat through the use of electronic warfare. PACIFIC OCEAN (June 12, 2024) Sailors aboard Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) transfer supplies from MH-60S Sea Hawks, assigned to the "Black Knights" of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 4, on the flight deck aboard Vinson while underway in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
