F-35C delivered to Eglin

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Navy Lt. Cmdr. Christopher Tabert, F-35C Lightning II instructor pilot, U.S. Navy Strike Fighter Squadron VFA-101 lands June 22 at Eglin Air Force Base's 33rd Fighter Wing after a two hour flight from Ft. Worth, Texas. The U.S. Navy's Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 101 received the Navy's first F-35C Lightning II carrier variant aircraft from Lockheed Martin at the squadron's home. VFA 101, co-located with the 33rd FW, will serve as the F-35C Fleet Replacement Squadron, training F-35C aircrew and maintenance personnel alongside Air Force, Marine and coalition partners in the joint strike fighter program.
