USS John C. Stennis Conducting Routine Operations in the South China Sea

SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 4, 2016) - The aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) participates in a replenishment at sea with the fast combat support ship USNS Rainier (T-AOE 7) and the guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53). Mobile Bay is receiving an advanced biofuel mixture from Rainier. Providing a ready force supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, the ships are operating as part of the Great Green Fleet on a regularly scheduled 7th Fleet deployment.
