USS Zumwalt Visits Alaska During 3rd Fleet Operations

Capt. Andrew Carlson, commanding officer of the guided-missile destroyer USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000), walks with Saxman Mayor Frank Seludo, Ketchikan Mayor Robert Sivertsen and Ketchikan Gateway Borough Mayor David Landis. Zumwalt is conducting a port visit in Ketchikan as part of its routine operations in the eastern Pacific. Zumwalt-class destroyers provide the Navy with agile military advantages at sea and with ground forces ashore.
