200118-N-MM912-1045 PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 18, 2020) An E-2D Hawkeye attached to the "Bluetails" of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 121 prepares to launch from the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) to return to Naval Station Norfolk, following a 10-month deployment. The Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is deployed to the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. With Abraham Lincoln as the flagship, deployed strike group assets include staffs and aircraft of Carrier Strike Group 12 (CSG 12), Destroyer Squadron 2 (DESRON 2), and Carrier Air Wing 7 (CVW 7).
