180210-N-SF984-0915 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 10, 2018) Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Dewey (DDG 105) fires its MK 38 25mm machine gun as the ship conducts a live fire exercise. Dewey departed Naval Base San Diego to conduct operations in the Indo-Pacific Region. Dewey, along with USS Sterett (DDG 104) will also support the Wasp Expeditionary Strike Group deployment in order to advance U.S. Pacific Fleet's Up-Gunned ESG concept and will train with forward-deployed amphibious ships across all mission areas.
