John Richardson “high-fives” recruits during a weekly Recruit Training Command (RTC) Captain’s Cup between soon-to-be-graduating recruit divisions here, Feb. 27. Captain’s Cup is a series of relay races and physical shipboard-style challenges, from moving a simulated downed shipmate to handling mooring lines. CNO and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Mike Stevens toured RTC’s largest structure, the 173,000 square-foot three-story Freedom Hall Physical Fitness facility during their visit to RTC. Freedom Hall is where recruits train and take their three Physical Fitness Assessments (PFAs) during boot camp, as well as the Captain’s Cup competitions. (U.S. Navy photo by Brian Walsh/Released)
