160408-N-MD297-053 PACIFIC OCEAN (April 8, 2016) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Lassen (DDG 82) conducts small boat operations with the Ecuadorian Coast Guard ship Isla Marchena (LG 42) during a bilateral maritime security operation in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Lassen is underway in support of Operation Martillo, a joint operation with the U.S. Coast Guard and partner nations within the 4th Fleet area of responsibility.
