Bonhomme Richard, flagship of the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group, is operating in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia Pacific region. The USS Green Bay (LPD 20) is participating with forward deployed Marines from III Marine Expeditionary Force for Exercise Blue Chromite, an annual U.S.-only exercise which strengthens the Navy-Marine Corps expeditionary, amphibious rapid-response capabilities based in Okinawa and greater Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
