DIEGO GARCIA (Aug. 21, 2020) Sailors climb into a thick ocean-side hedge on a remote stretch of beach on Diego Garcia Aug. 21, 2020, to pick up trash during a beach cleanup hosted by the U.S. Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia chapel. Litter regularly washes ashore from the Indian Ocean, so Sailors and civilians on the island frequently conduct beach cleanups to help protect Diego Garcia's plant and animal life. NSF Diego Garcia provides logistic, service, recreational and administrative support to U.S. and Allied Forces forward deployed to the Indian Ocean and Arabian Gulf.
