ST. LOUIS (Oct. 15, 2020) Navy Counselor 1st Class Damian Haskins, a recruiter assigned to Navy Recruiting Station Mehlville, part of Navy Talent Acquisition Group (NTAG) Mid America, asks Capt. Robert Smith, commodore of Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) Region Central, a question during Smith�s visit to the recruiting station, Oct. 15, 2020. Region Central was recently established by NRC on Oct. 1 and is responsible for more than a third of the Navy�s annual recruiting goal, overseeing nine NTAGs, 350 recruiting stations and covering 850,000 square miles. NTAG Mid America, part of NRC and Region Central, recruits the next generation of Navy Sailors throughout areas encompassing Missouri, Kansas, central and southern Illinois and a portion of Kentucky.
