WEST BETHESDA, Md. (May 25, 2021) The Maneuvering and Seakeeping Basin (MASK) at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division in West Bethesda, Md., is making waves on May 25, 2021. The MASK is 240-feet wide, 360-feet long and holds over twelve-million gallons of water and is used to predict the full-scale performance of ships, platforms, and mooring systems in realistic waves, which can simulate the ocean up to sea state nine.
