PANAMA CITY (Nov. 7, 2021) Chief Navy Diver Jesse Delapena, assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 2, conducts a dive brief before divers enter the water to conduct a survey of the pier floor to validate separation of wreckage, Nov. 7, 2021. Sailors from MDSU 2 and personnel from the Navy's Supervisor of Salvage and Diving (SUPSALV) are conducting a salvage operation to remove a sunken vessel which has blocked Pier 3 of the Vasco Nunez de Balboa port in Panama since 2004.
