PACIFIC OCEAN (June 23, 2022) Sailors demonstrate fighting a simulated fire to families and friends aboard transport dock ship USS Anchorages (LPD 23) in the vehicle stowage area during a family day cruise. Friends and family members were invited aboard Anchorage to experience a day in the life of a Sailor at sea first-hand. Anchorage is currently home ported in San Diego as part of Amphibious Squadron SEVEN, along with USS John P. Murtha (LPD 26) and the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8).
