NORFOLK (June 23, 2022) Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT) team operator Aaron Gasnello, a SWAT sniper with the Chesapeake Police Department's SWAT team, discusses and demonstrates his method of entry to U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. John M. Gomez Jr., a close-quarters battle (CQB) instructor with Training Company, Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment (MCSFR), during a guided discussion with personnel employed by the Department of Energy's (DOE) Special Response Team (SRT), the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Special Agents, the Chesapeake Police Department's SWAT Team, and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency's Emergency Response Team (ERT) at IAMS Range, Naval Support Activity Northwest Annex, Virginia, June 23, 2022. MCSFR CQB instructors led various live-fire qualifications, movement to contact drills and guided discussions on CQB tactics and techniques for personnel with the DOE�s SRT, the FBI�s Special Agents, the Chesapeake Police Department's SWAT Team, and the Pentagon Force Protection Agency�s ERT. MCSFR capitalized on the interagency training evolution to enhance CQB capabilities and knowledge for U.S. Marine CQB instructors and all participating agency operators further equiping anti-terrorism security forces for vital national assets.
