PORT HUENEME, Calif. (Aug. 24, 2022) Eric Summer and Teresa Wong of Rancho Cordova, California-based Hill Engineering monitor their company's DART-Repair tool as it measures the profile of a support post aboard the Self Defense Test Ship and scans for obtrusions caused by corrosion and surface decay during the Navy's Repair Technology Exercise, or REPTX at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD). The tool plugs into a local power source and uses compressed air and a laser profilometer to grind down obtrusions. (U.S. Navy photo by Teri Carnicelli)
