FLTCM Delbert Terrell Speaks to VP-9 Sailors

OAK HARBOR, Wash. (Aug. 9, 2023) – Navy Personnel, Manpower, and Training Fleet Master Chief Delbert Terrell Jr. responds to a Sailor’s question during an all-hands call with Patrol Squadron Nine (VP-9), the “Golden Eagles,” at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Chief of Naval Personnel Vice Adm. Rick Cheeseman and Terrell answered questions about career opportunities and pay and personnel topics, including the future of billet-based advancement and systems modernization progress. Cheeseman and Terrell visited VP-9, a P-8A Poseidon multi-mission maritime aircraft squadron, while in the Pacific Northwest for the MyNavy HR Career Development Symposium.
