ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 27, 2023) A U.S. Marine with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) sets security during a visit, board, search, and seizure exercise in the Arabian Gulf, Aug. 27, 2023. Elements of the 26th MEU conducted the training with U.S. Naval Special Warfare Operators assigned to Special Operations Joint Task Force-Central based in Qatar. Components of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 26th MEU are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to help ensure maritime security and stability in the Middle East region.
