NPS Hosts AI Hackathon for Students to Solve Military Operational Problems

MONTEREY, Calif. (Dec. 17, 2024) Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Associate Professor of computer science Mathias Kolsch addresses attendees of the NPS AI Hackathon event held in the Dudley Knox Library on Dec. 17. Kolsch lead the inaugural NPS AI Hackathon, which brought together NPS graduate students, industry experts and mission partners to address a real-world challenge in collaboration with the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity. Participants focused on refining and improving the Marine Corps Center for Lessons Learned After Action Report support tool, a critical resource for sharing insights, analyzing operations and driving organizational improvements across the force.
