Naval Station Rota held a flag raising ceremony with active duty Sailors, Soldiers, Airmen, and Marines present July 1st. NAVSTA Rota's commanding officer, Captain David Baird, spoke on why the event held extra meaning, given the challenging year 2020 has been service members around the world. American forces raise the U.S. Flag one day every year onboard NAVSTA Rota.
