For over 60 years, the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) has honored America's fallen heroes days prior to Memorial Day by placing American flags at the headstones of service members buried at Arlington National Cemetery. This tradition, known as "Flags In", has been completed this year to the highest standards. Within 4 hours, over 265,000 American flags were placed at the headstones of our Nation's fallen. This year, The Old Guard was honored to have conducted "Flags In" alongside our sister services.
