The US Army Europe & Africa Band and Chorus, led by 1st Lt. Jackel Smalls, played a concert in Skopje's City square on May 8, 2023, showcasing their musical prowess and strengthening cultural ties between the United States and North Macedonia. The concert, which featured popular American songs from different genres, was a joint effort with North Macedonia band members, demonstrating the power of collaboration and cross-cultural exchange. In interviews featured in the video, Smalls and Guitarist Staff Sgt. Jonathan Rodriguez praised their North Macedonian counterparts for their talent and professionalism, and expressed their hope that the concert would bring the two countries closer together. The event drew a large and enthusiastic crowd, who enjoyed the music and the spirit of unity it conveyed. The US Army Europe & Africa Band and Chorus's performance in Skopje was a shining example of how music can bring people together and foster international goodwill.
