VAT Office B-Roll
AFN Stuttgart
June 23, 2022 | 4:40
Whether you’ve been in U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart for two years or two months, you may have noticed the price tags in Germany are different from those in the states. That’s because Germany has a Value-Added Tax (VAT) of either 19% or a reduced rate of 7% on most items/services purchased. You can pick up or pre-order VAT forms from the Tax Relief Office on Panzer Kaserne, building 2915, to reduce that sticker price. For more information, go to Stuttgart.armymwr.com or call the USAG Stuttgart Tax Center at DSN (314) 596-3678.
