10th Mountain Division prepares equipment for mission in support of USNORTHCOM

U.S. Soldiers, assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 10th Mountain Division (LI), weigh equipment and finalize load plans at Fort Drum, N.Y., Jan.28, 2025 to ensure the unit is ready to depart in support of U.S. Northern Command for the southern border surge. U.S. Northern Command is working together with the Department of Homeland Security to augment U.S. Customs and Border Protection along the southern border with additional military forces. This initial deployment of more then 1,600 active-duty personnel brings the total military Title 10 forces along the border to nearly 4,000 personnel. (Dept. of Defense video by Spc. Anjelica Asejo)
