AFN Bavaria
Aug. 27, 2020 | 14:38
The 41st Field Artillery Brigade activated the 1st Battalion, 77th Field Artillery Regiment on 27 AUG 2020 on the Rose Barracks Parade Field in Grafenwoehr, Germany. 41st FAB activated at GTA in November 2018 and currently has an FA battalion and brigade support battalion. The 1-77 activation signals the completion of 3 years of work by 7ATC and the 41st FAB to build a fully operational MLRS-equipped Field Artillery brigade in Europe. The formation of the 41st FAB and its three subordinate units was authorized in the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act. The 41st FAB's previos Commander, Col. Seth Knazovich was the first guest speaker at the ceremony. Then Lt. Col. Anthony Brunner said a few words about his newly reactivated unit that he is now in command of.
