Defense Department Support to FEMA COVID-19
Aug. 24, 2020 | 7:01
U.S. Army Lt. Col. Andrew Brennan, a chaplain and member of a religious support team supporting medical providers at Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas, discusses religious support and resiliency programs offered to U.S. Navy medical providers, Aug. 24, 2020. The medical providers, assigned to U.S. Navy Rural Rapid Response Team One, are providing support to hospital staff. The behavioral health team provides activities to help the Sailors manage stress. As part of its commitment to resiliency, U.S. Army North deployed several religious support and behavioral health teams throughout Texas. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in support of the whole-of-America COVID-19 response.
