Arkansas National Guard Public Affairs Office
March 8, 2021 | 5:58
A must-watch video about the Covid-19 vaccine and virus from Col. Kevin Koehler, the Arkansas National Guard’s State Surgeon.
This is the second of three videos that will help us all better understand the Covid-19 virus and, particularly, address some possible questions & concerns about the vaccine. It is time to put this pandemic behind us and the vaccine is one great tool to help us get back to some semblance of a normal lifestyle.
Studies show that Covid-19 vaccines are effective at keeping us from getting Covid-19. Leading experts have said that receiving a Covid-19 vaccine may help keep you from getting seriously ill, even if you do get the virus. Masks enhance one's protection from Covid-19 and are effective when worn, and worn correctly. Vaccines, like masks, must be applied in order to be effective.
The vaccine is certainly an important tool to help us get back to normal as a society, and ensure that our Guard teams are ready to perform any mission we are asked to do. It is a tool that can help us live up to our motto of Always Ready, Always There.
