The Impact of the SS Curtiss (T-AVB 4)
Exercise Balikatan
April 22, 2023 | 1:00
U.S. Marine Corps Col. Brett Allison, the Aviation Combat Element commanding officer for Balikatan, speaks on the capabilities of the SS Curtiss (T-AVB 4) at the Subic Bay International Airport, Philippines, April 21, 2023. The SS Curtiss is deployed in support of Immortal Warrior 23, an exercise which activates the Military Sealift Command-operated ship and deploys it in order to provide expeditionary intermediate-level aircraft maintenance for U.S. forces. The flexibility this model provides to the Marine Corps ensures crisis response and support to contingency operations for a wide range of possible challenges and threats.
