On Feb. 27, 2024, Mass Communications Specialist 2nd Class Joseph Vazquez visited Okawachiyama Village in Saga prefecture, Japan, to give a tour for American Forces Network audiences and provide insight on the history of the community there. Okawachiyama village is where Nabeshima pottery is manufactured, utilizing over 350 years of advanced techniques to create some of the best examples of modern pottery in Japan.
