Command Master Chief (CMC) Dee Allen was the Navy’s most senior enlisted woman in 2018 when she served as the CMC of U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/U.S. 10th Fleet. Allen enlisted in the Navy in 1986 as an undesignated seaman recruit and was selected to attend Cryptologic Technician Administrative “A” School in Pensacola, Florida. She served at the National Security Agency, Naval Support Group Activity Misawa and Okinawa, Japan, aboard USS Frank Cable (AS 40), USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79), and also as the senior enlisted advisor for the Office of Women’s Policy. She retired from the Navy in 2020 after 34 years of service.
