Beth Coye was an advocate and the west coast representative for the repeal of ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ with the Service members Legal Defense Network. She has been instrumental in fighting discrimination against the LGBTQ community and advocating for equal opportunity for all. Additionally, she was one of the first woman to serve as a commanding officer ashore. Cmdr. Beth Coye retired in 1980 after 20 years of service.
