OKINAWA (Feb. 15, 2023) A U.S. Navy corpsmen with the Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), gives a tactical combat casualty care class to members of the reconnaissance battalion of the Philippine military Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade during a subject matter expert exchange at Camp Hansen in Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 15, 2023, for Iron Fist 23. The 31st MEU and ARDB conducted the bilateral exchange to strengthen operations and techniques essential to supporting our allies and partners throughout the first island chain. Iron Fist is an annual bilateral exercise designed to increase interoperability and strengthen the relationships between the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Navy, the Japan Ground Self Defense Force, and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
