The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) departed Palma de Mallorca, Spain, after a three-day scheduled port visit.

The ship's presence in the Mediterranean Sea is a demonstration of our continued commitment to the collective security of the European region.

Palma is a resort city and capital of the Spanish island of Mallorca (Majorca), in the western Mediterranean.

Carney last visited Palma de Mallorca in March 2016.

Carney is currently on its third forward deployed naval force ballistic missile defense patrol.
