Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Southwest Command Information Officer James Sullivan was recognized June 19 with a Patriotic Employer award from the California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense agency, during a presentation at NAVFAC Southwest in San Diego.

"Your Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriotic Employer award reflects the high level of support that you have shown for your employee serving in the United States Armed Forces Guard and Reserve," said James P. Combs, California ESGR state chairman, in a letter to Sullivan.

Sullivan received a certificate and letter of appreciation from California ESGR Vice Chairwoman Christine Juarez for his supporting employee participation in the National Guard and Reserve Force while working at Naval Special Warfare Command.
