Recruiting Commanders from all branches of the uniformed services attended the Joint Recruiting Commanders meeting, hosted at Navy Recruiting Command in Millington from March 31 to April 1.

The event was sponsored by Stephanie Miller, director, military accessions policy, a component of the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Personnel Policy.

During the meeting, leadership from the Department of Defense, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard discussed the state of recruiting in their respective services, the recruiting market, force protection and best practices for recruiting the highest quality candidates for military service.

"My service counterparts and I seized this golden opportunity to address common recruiting challenges and issues," said Rear Adm. Jeff Hughes, commander, NRC. "While we actively compete for our nation's highest quality talent, we know that in the end we will be teammates in the battlespace and must make the armed services the leader in the talent acquisition market."
