The Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) will be performing technical upgrades, Nov. 5-10, during which the system will be offline.

The upgrade outage begins at 6 p.m. Central Standard Time, Nov. 5, and the system is scheduled to come back online at 8 a.m., Nov. 11.

For users, the upgrade will result in a menu change. Currently, the menu is displayed on the left side of the page, but it will move to the top of the page as a drop down menu. Additionally, there will be expanded training capabilities allowing for self-paced, computer-based training with multiple playback modes.

The impact to ships is that the central personnel and pay processing site will be shut down during the aforementioned time frame, so transactions going to corporate systems (DJMS, OPINS, NES, etc.) will be delayed for that period, as will feedback from the corporate systems. The transactions processed on the ship's NSIPS servers will be queued for processing once the central system is back online and no transactions will be lost.

All Sailors are encouraged to make sure eLeave requests for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday period are routed early, to ensure they are processed before the system goes down.
