Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Marianas awarded a $75 million multiple award construction contract (MACC) April 9 to five Small Business Administration (SBA) 8(a)-certified firms for construction, renovation, modernization work, and routine repair and maintenance work.
The following 8(a)-certified small business companies were competitively selected: Chugach Consolidated Solutions LLC of Alaska; Clayarch Inc. based on Guam; GSI North America Inc. of New Jersey; InfraTech International LLC based on Guam and S.K. Construction Inc. based on Guam.
“This MACC award represents the Navy’s intent to leverage the expertise and talents of our small business community to meet mission requirements on Guam,” NAVFAC Marianas Commanding Officer Capt. Daniel Turner said. “I commend our acquisition professionals and the team of small business firms for this great achievement.”
As a part of the MACC award, Chugach Consolidated Solutions LLC was awarded a $992,000 task order for the seed project to replace air conditioning systems in 59 units as part of Phase II of Apra View housing on Naval Base Guam. All other firms were each awarded a task order for the minimum guarantee of $10,000.
This MACC was set-aside for 8(a)-certified firms located within the geographical area serviced by the SBA Hawaii District Office and other 8(a) construction firms with a bona fide place of business within the geographical competitive area.
