The command recognized some of its most significant technical accomplishment of 2019 during NAWCAD’s 19th annual Commander’s and Innovation Awards ceremony at Patuxent River today.
“Today’s event is all about outcomes,” said Rear Adm. John Lemmon, commander of NAWCAD. “This year’s awardees were chosen because of the tangible, real-world advantages their work provides the fleet and reflect capability we help bring to the fight.”
The individual and teams awarded were up against dozens of nominations representing some of the warfare center’s most innovative and important scientific naval contributions in 2019.
